Pragya Krishna's journey into the world of yoga began in her childhood, nurtured by her family's deep-rooted connection to the practice. Her father, a renowned yoga teacher, would often lead the family in morning yoga sessions, while her mother, a dedicated practitioner, would share her experiences and insights. Born into a family of yoga practitioners, teachers, farmers, and devoted followers of the Gayatri Parivar in the culturally rich landscapes of Begumganj, Raisen district, Madhya Pradesh, India, Pragya was immersed in the transformative power of yoga from a tender age. This early exposure laid the foundation for her lifelong dedication to its ancient practices and philosophy.
While she excelled in her BCA and MSc in IT, it was during these studies that she discovered her true calling. Pragya's mission went beyond books and classrooms. She wanted to show the world how yoga could change lives. Her pursuit of excellence in yoga was not without its challenges. She had to overcome her own physical limitations and mental barriers, which she did with the help of her teachers and her unwavering determination. This journey led her to top her class with the Diploma in Yoga at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya and later earned an MA in Yoga, solidifying her status as an expert in the field.
Pragya's influence on the world of yoga was not confined to academic achievements. She was a practitioner who believed in the practical application of her knowledge. Her belief in the transformative power of yoga led her to initiate remarkable projects in Bihar and Delhi. In Bihar, she brought yoga to schools, empowering children to feel strong and happy. In Delhi, she worked with army families, teaching them yoga to feel calm and confident. These initiatives were not just about spreading yoga, but about making a real difference in people's lives, instilling hope and positivity.
Pragya's journey took a significant turn when she became one of the directors at Shree Varma Ayurveda, a renowned wellness centre. Her role as a director expanded her horizons and revealed a world beyond her prior knowledge. She was responsible for integrating yoga into the centre's wellness programs, a task that required her to delve deeper into the therapeutic aspects of yoga. This transformative experience deepened her understanding of yoga's potential for positive change and broadened her vision.
Pragya's personal growth and expanded vision drove her mission to bring about a paradigm shift in the yoga world. With her passion and dedication, she continues to empower many people to embrace the benefits of yoga and lead a healthier, more fulfilling life.
